Recently ran across an advertisement for Farmie Market, an online approach to farmers market.  Interested in getting some perspective from the PS community on the potential of the program.  Do you think this supports "buy local" goals?  Does this create more opportunities? or does it take away from the true sense of community?

My name is Amy Allen and this blog is an appeal to avid gardeners and members of Placer County for help in leading gardening/sustainability workshops at the new Community Gardens at Sierra Christian Church in Loomis. Placer Sustain members and friends - I'm teaching two classes at the Placer School for Adults (PSA) on Edible Landscaping and Suburban Sustainability. The first is coming up fast - on Friday March 23 from 6pm to 9pm. The second class is a repeat - on Saturday April 28 from 9am to Noon.
