Hello all, I attended the Placer Sustain meeting at Sierra college a few months ago. This was before I became fully involved with what is now quickly turning into the idea for a business. I work on turning algae in to Bio-diesel. I attended the meeting with Steve Bash of Sacramento Bio-fuels, one of his main concerns is that the bio-diesel needs to be local. Algae can be grown, processed and sold locally.
This gives people a sustainable alternative to petrol diesel. I currently am looking for folks who have experience and knowledge with botany, engineering (such as creating a closed system of pipes) I am also searching for people who have spare tanks, algae does need to be grown in large quantities to become a viable alternative, so I am looking for 3-10 thousand gallon tanks.
As I get more time, I will update this with a little more info, but I am short on time.
If you are able to help me with either knowledge or materials, I would love to speak with you!
The best way to reach me is email: youngunbd@yahoo.com
Thank you all!
Nathan
