I.                   Mission Statement:

 The Placer Local Food Alliance unites the Community to cultivate a healthy and sustainable local food culture that promotes the Wellness of our community, economy, and environment.

II.                  Vision:  A United Community that is caring for its Wellness by choosing healthy local food.

III.              Objectives

·      An ongoing Healthy Placer Local Food Initiative that reaches and includes the entire Community.

·      Local Food Community Web Portal

·      Food Coop(s) that provide full time public access to locally grown food. 

·      Coordinated Farm to Institutions That Feed People Program(s). (Schools, Seniors, Homeless, Food Banks)

·      Coordinated Education and Training Resource Center—gardening, food preparation, nutrition, exercise, and health

·      A Gardening Network including home gardens, school gardens, community gardens.

·      Local Food Restaurant Branding and

·      Community Local Food Events—Breaking Bread Together

·      New Farmer Support Center

·      Sustainable Practices and Permaculture Learning Center

·      Local Food Alliance Newsletter and Print Publication

·      Coop Gardening Supply

·      Value Added Agriculture and Commercial Kitchen(s)

·      Meat Processing and USDA Small Animal Certification
