Dancing Dog Farm

Dancing Dog Farm is a small market garden on Jeff and Sue Bordelon's property in Loomis, California.  We look to be part of a small community of partners in a Community Supported Agriculture type relationship, but broader.  We are open to people who are interested in having their own little garden area, who want to work on the farm in return for food or discounted food, people who wish to pick their own vegetables and receive deeper discounts on price, or people who just want to pick up their vegetables.  This group will also be exploring the creation of partnerships or "buying clubs" of people interested in working together to acquire local food--i.e. cooperate on purchasing and distribution.

Dancing Dog Farm Potluck -- Upcoming Season, Buyer's Coop, Food-Health-Lifestyle Group, Fellowship

On February 19, 2011 we are hosting a lunch potluck and meeting at our little Dancing Dog Farm garden from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.  All those interested in talking about the upcoming season’s planting and getting vegetables are welcome.  The garden conversation will include exploring a formal or informal Buyer’s Coop where the group could create cooperative arrangements with multiple local growers and live

Doings at Dancing Dog Farm

Our winter garden is in--beets, lettuce, onions, chard, broccli, radishes, peas, turnips, chives, artichoke, spinach, kale, cabbage, cauliflower, and more....  Lots of lettuce right now.

  • We are still producing string beans and zuchinni. 
  • Sweet corn in coming on, and will be available in a few days.
  • Tomatoes are coming, but not yet ripe.
  • Peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, and lima beans are will follow within a week or two.
