Annual Membership Drive

PlacerSustain is on an calendar year membership cycle.  All the basic PlacerSustain member rights and privileges are free.  The work that is being done, which is considerable,  is primarily  being accomplished by volunteers.

PlacerSustain Initiatives -- 2012 (Draft)

[This is a summary list of key PlacerSustain initiatives that are being pursued by PlacerSustain members that we anticipate in 2012.  Let us know if you have other areas of interest you would like to pursue.  Our "initiatives" are simply members who are working together to accomplish their mutual goals.  If you want an initiative that isn't on this list, you get to create it--we have volunteers who are willing to help.

PlacerSustain's New You Tube Channel!

Thank You to Bralynn Newby, a PlacerSustain Board member, for setting up the PlacerSustain You Tube Channel.  She graciously donated her professional services to get this done.  It's fantastic!  Check it out.

 

 

PlacerSustain Federal Tax Charitable Organization Status Approved

PlacerSustain received notification of the IRS approval of its status as a 501(c)(3) exempt chartiable organization.  This has been in the works for 6 plus months.  The IRS review was comprehensive.  PlacerSustain's Mission raised some exemption issues.  We provide an open publication forum through the web and meetings for private individuals, businesses, and other organizations to tell their story and collaborate to pursue mutual interests.  We are interested in facilitating collaboration that supports sustainable economic development.  We work to encourage th

Jeffrey Bordelon Appointed to PlacerSustain Board of Directors

Jeffrey Bordelon, who has been serving as the volunteer President of PlacerSustain, Inc., has been appointed to the Board of Directors to replace Marie Brown.  Marie contributed greatly during the initial startup period of PlacerSustain, and continues to be actively involved.

Suggestions for PlacerSustain Meeting Presentation Topics

We have posted a Forum Discussion Item soliciting suggestions for presentation topics to be included upcoming regular and special PlacerSustain Meetings.  If you have an idea or wish to make a presentation yourself, go to the Forum and post a reply or new posting.  Of course, the PlacerSustain website is open to all Registered Members to post their own Blogs and Forum topics on their areas of interest or expertise.

Expanded PlacerSustain Network Diagram

This is a LINK to a new network diagram showing people who have attended PlacerSustain meetings (a partial list), their network affiliations, and some indication of the nature of the affiliations (e.g. causual, member, or on the governing board).  This type of network relationship analysis might be a useful tool for individuals and organizations to get a better idea of who they are connected to, where relationship opportunities exist, and so on.
