Bee article on buying local meat

In case someone didn't already post this, there's an article in today's Sac Bee about buying local meat:

http://www.sacbee.com/2012/02/15/4263722/sacramento-area-families-buy-meat.html

The article doesn't have a lot of depth, but it shows that more people are aware of the benefits of buying from local farms, and it provides a contact information for a couple of local ranchers who sell to the public.

Link to Joel Salatin talk

I've been enjoying the audiobook version of Joel Salatin's book "Folks, this Aint Normal...", and today's email newsletter from Peaceful Valley included a link to a talk he gave locally:

I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm sure he has something interesting to say.
